Join Omnihedral staff member Kitty for a lecture-style workshop about using secondhand materials to create fantasy costumes. We will be discussing, in broad overview terms:

How to shop for secondhand materials for costumes (taking your measurements, identifying fabric, search-term vocabulary, etc)
Some basic alterations to take add life and character to secondhand stuff
DIY options for new crafters
Resources for tools, techniques and materials

The lecture will be upstairs in the loft space. All lecture material will be made available online for folks who cannot do stairs or are interested but unable to attend the lecture.

Directions

Omnihedral is located in Historic Savage Mill, in The Barn section of The Cotton Shed building. Our primary entrance is on the ground level.

Directions from the Savage Mill Main Parking area (the "Little Lot"): From the Little Lot, when facing downhill towards main mill building with the courtyard archway, The Cotton Shed is a separate building on the left. As you approach The Cotton Shed, you will see the business Tessera at ground level as well as a set of stairs; follow our signs and take the ground level path to left of the stairs to our main entrance!

Directions from the Additional Parking area (the "Big Lot"): From the Big Lot, proceed through the main entrance of the New Weave Building. Take the stairs or the elevator ahead of you down from the 2nd floor to the 1st floor. Continue on until you pass More Than Java Cafe on your right and Skinsational Scents on your left, at which point there will be a glass door to exit outside on your left. Exit and follow the path along the outside of the main mill building until you reach The Cotton Shed straight ahead.
